Following the success of GATE 1, the pre-entrance to be applied to the cell door of motorhomes, LARCOS presents the version for vans: GATE 2

Living in a camper or caravan in winter can be a challenging experience if you are not properly equipped. One of the problems of parking in the snow is the lack of an external access area to the vehicle, where, for example, you can take off your ski boots or snow-covered shoes before getting on board. Larcos, a company specializing in the processing of fabrics applied to caravanning, developed two years ago a pre-entrance for caravans and motorhomes to be applied to the external perimeter of the cell door, which creates a 240 cm high, 140 cm wide and 80 cm deep access room. Riding the wave of success of this product, called GATE 1, and following market trends that see a significant development in the camper van typology, Larcos presents the GATE 2 van pre-entrance. This innovative pre-entrance is mounted in the rear part of the van, where the two doors are located, and allows for the creation of a very useful “antechamber”, which not only offers shelter for winter sports equipment, shoes and bulky windbreakers, but also represents a shelter from the wind and snow. A shield from the cold, in practice, which allows for less heat dispersion when the large doors of the van are opened to enter or exit, and this also translates into lower gas consumption for heating.

GATE 2 is made of a waterproof, sturdy and resistant fabric that covers a fiberglass pole that is extremely easy to assemble. The fixing is done through adhesive snap buttons, which allow a perfect adhesion to the vehicle. Once assembled, it is 250 cm high, 170 cm wide and 115 cm deep. When folded, it can be stored in a very compact bag (30x10x 60 cm). The front wall of GATE 2 can be transformed, if necessary, into an awning/veranda, by opening the two side zips and fixing the two lower ends of the fabric to two additional poles.
