NE287 SERIES SWITCHING BATTERY CHARGER

NE287 is a battery charger for lead, gel, lithium and AGM batteries.
The batteries must have a nominal voltage of 12V and a capacity adequate for the current of the battery charger (check the compatibility of the maximum charging current with the technical data sheet of the battery you intend to connect for use). The NE287 also functions as a power supply.

Power Supply Mode:

NE287 works as a power supply when the 230V mains voltage is present but no service battery is installed or connected. In this mode the output voltage is fixed at 13.8V with a maximum current of 17A (230W max) or 21A (290W max). In this mode the green LED flashes.

Charger Mode:

If the battery is present and is powered by mains voltage, the NE287 works as a battery charger (if the algorithm for lithium batteries has been selected, the NE287 works as a battery charger even if it does not detect the battery when turned on) .
Using the dipswitch it is possible to choose the charging algorithm depending on the type of battery. When turned on, the green LED flashes to indicate which charging algorithm has been selected via the dipswitches.
The battery charger uses a combination of Constant Current and Constant Voltage charging, this allows you to significantly reduce charging time and not damage the batteries even if the battery charger is permanently connected to the 230V mains.
