Blue Smart IP22 Charger 15Ah

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger is the new professional charger with integrated Bluetooth. The Blue Smart IP22 Charger can be used for devices in your laboratory and for vehicles, such as (classic) cars, motorcycles, boats and campers.

 

Bluetooth Smart enabled
The wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, changing settings and updating your charger when new features become available.

High efficiency
With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat than the industry standard.
And when the battery is fully charged, power consumption is reduced to 0.5 Watts, which is five to ten times lower than the industry standard.

6-phase adaptive charging algorithm: test – first phase – absorption – reconditioning – maintenance – accumulation
The Blue Smart charger includes a microprocessor-controlled “adaptive” charging management system. There
“adaptive” function automatically optimizes the charging process based on the type of battery use.

Fully programmable charging algorithm
Using the Bluetooth app you can program the absorption, hold and storage voltages, as well as the reconditioning settings and the temperature compensation value.
After activating Expert Mode, the app allows you to change virtually all parameters and time limits used by the charging algorithm.

Storage mode: less maintenance and battery capacity losses in non-operational phases
Storage mode is activated when the battery is not subject to discharge for 24 consecutive hours. In storage mode the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. The voltage is brought back to the “absorption” level once a week to balance the battery charge state. This prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, main causes of premature battery aging

Also charges Li-ion batteries
Lithium ion batteries are charged with a simple mass – absorption – maintenance algorithm.

Completely discharged battery recovery function
starts charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts.
Reconnects to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.

NIGHT and LOW settings
When NIGHT mode or LOW mode is active, the output current is reduced to no more than 50% of the rated output and the charger will be completely silent. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. LOW mode can be turned off manually.

Thermal protection
The output current reduces when the temperature reaches 50°C, but the Blue Smart charger continues to work.

VE.Smart networking
The VE.Smart Network is a device-to-device (D2D) wireless communication network between Victron products, which

Optional battery voltage and temperature compensation and current sensing
The VE.Smart Network offers the possibility of optimizing the charging process: a Smart Battery Sense, a Smart Battery Monitor or a SmartShunt can be used to communicate the battery voltage and temperature to one or more chargers. A Smart Battery Monitor or SmartShunt also communicates battery current

Synchronized parallel charging
Synchronize up to ten chargers in a single VE.Smart network, to have them charge the battery as if they were one large charger. The chargers will synchronize the charging algorithm with each other. They will simultaneously transition from one charge state to another, for example, from first phase to absorption.
Synchronized parallel charging has several interesting advantages:
– Redundancy: if one charger stops for any reason, the others continue to work.
– Flexibility: if more power is needed, simply add a charger to the network.
– Costs: Various low-power chargers generally cost less than a high-power one.
– Installation: It may be easier to place several low-power chargers in a small space.
